Hidden Gem in Georgetown! The best Late Night Sweet Treat I have had in awhile. I got the taiyaki box, with black sesame and matcha swirl, topped with toffee and Oreo! I filled the taiyaki with ube custard ~ I am telling you, the best combo! Don't miss out!

Last spring (4/22/24) I got Sakura flavored soft serve ice cream with matcha powder sprinkled on top in a taiyaki cone filled with red bean. It was so delicious. I really enjoyed the texture of the slightly crispy vanilla waffle. The red bean paste was perfect, and the Sakura flavor was a lovely and paired really well with the matcha. The ice cream was so wonderful on a sunny day. The cafe also makes mini grilled teriyaki, I devoured a red bean one too quickly to take a picture. It was so delicious Since it was a such a nice day outside, I also got a chai matcha ice tea, which was absolutely amazing and delicious. Service was super quick, and the guy behind the counter was friendly and polite. He apologized for the unexpected wait (had to make a fresh batch of taiyaki cones, which smelled so good). I didn't mind though, since it gave me time to admire the cute decor and enjoy my grilled taiyaki. I highly recommend going. The flavors were incredibly tasty, and there were so many enticing flavors to choose from. I'm definitely looking forward to going back when I'm in the area again.

This place was so cute! We went to get the fun cones and we got to sit and watch Beetlejuice and hang out. There was only one person working but they did a great job taking care of everything. We didn't realize til after we ordered that there was a self ordering kiosk thing. The ice cream was well received by everyone in our group and I got a hot match, because it was freezing outside, and it was molten lava hot. When it was cool enough to drink though I really enjoyed it.

Got some cold treats at this ice cream place in Georgetown. It certainly is a place to be cool, literally. Matcha Man has ice cream and the Japanese cookie known as taiyaki. A lot of people order these together because apparently it's a good combination. The prices aren't that bad for this hipster sort of stuff. Basic thing to know is that it has ice cream. It's pretty much like soft serve. They put it in a bowl, or a cone made of taiyaki. Also they have milkshakes if wanting to choose something else. The ice cream comes with fun toppings like matcha powder. It's about $6 for a regular cup. They always have a few vegan options like the Dole Whip. Last time they had the pineapple flavor. The matcha powder goes pretty good on this. Has the best ice cream in the area. It's located on 12th Avenue at Harney. The flavors include a few okay for vegans.

I love that they have a GF and Vegan options here!!!!!!!!! The ambiance is cozy in the heart of Georgetown. Its cool they display the freshly cooked taiyaki by the window so customers see it as they enter the shop. They have limited seating area, and i wish they can open up the upper floor which i believe is currently used for storage(?) it was a bit messy looking. I spotted some vintage clothing on a rack along with a retro pac man game machine. I think the use of space could improve significantly here but i will still come back for the great service and food! My pocky sticks were a little stale though, thats something i hope i dont get again next time.

I love hojicha, but it's hard to find cafes that have it in Seattle, so I was very excited when I found out Matcha Man makes hojicha latte! I really enjoyed it - despite it being an iced drink, there wasn't any grainy powder as everything was frothed and blended in. It wasn't too sweet, which made it a very refreshing drink for a hot day out.

Cute little ice cream & taiyaki spot nestled in the main area of Georgetown, serving sweet treats worth trying! After getting tacos nearby with some friends, we stopped by Matcha Man for dessert. While I've been here a few times, my recent experience was positive. I ordered at the self-kiosk, so there wasn't much when it came to service. I ordered the Matcha and Cookies n Cream swirl with the taiyaki. It was pretty good, but I didn't really taste much for the Cookies n Cream, almost like it was just milk flavoured. It was still good though, but wished it came out stronger. Matcha Man is worth going for desserts after eating out, but I don't see myself coming out here often just for it alone. Still recommend trying though!

First time having Taiyaki and it was delicious!! The soft serve was packed with flavor and the consistency is exactly what you want. The taiyaki was crispy and doughy and it helped balance the sweetness of the soft serve.
